The sacrament of Confirmation brings an increase and deepening of baptismal gifts. It unites us more firmly to Christ by the full outpouring of the Holy Spirit as once granted to the apostles on the day of Pentecost, giving us a special strength of the Holy Spirit to spread and defend the faith by word and action as true witnesses of Christ.
Confirmation classes are given to the students entering the eighth grade. The sacrament is administered by Bishop Boland sometime between February and April. If anyone older than fourteen years of age has not received the sacrament of Confirmation, please contact the church office.
Those adults who were baptized as Catholics as infants, but have not practiced their faith since childhood nor received subsequent Sacraments are asked to join the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA). Please contact the church office for more information 355-1523.
