St. James Catholic School

Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it.    [Proverbs 22:6]
Cluster Leader: Sr. Lisa Golden, IHM

St. James Catholic School is staffed by Sisters, Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, and by lay staff.

The core of the academic program is oral and written language arts, reading and mathematics. Religion and prayer are a way of life. They are not only taught through courses that lay the foundation, but are lived the student’s entire experience at SJCS. Knowing and living gospel principles are the building blocks upon which the student will base his or her life.

Science and social studies are emphasized in grade three through grade eight. Advanced math is offered for grades five through eight. Physical education, fine arts, technology, foreign language and library classes are integral to the weekly curriculum for all grades.

SJCS has a reputation of high level of achievement and placement as students move on to high school.
