Annual Catholic Appeal

This Sunday is Commitment Sunday for our Annual Catholic Appeal. I want to thank our couples who will give the lay witness talks this weekend! Thank you for your willingness to share about your participation in the Appeal. At each mass we will give time for you to pray about what you want to give and to complete the envelope or pledge card. If you would like to take it home and continue to pray about it, please do so.

The money given in the Annual Catholic Appeal goes to fund the many programs offered by the diocese. It helps educate our seminarians (those men in training to be priests for our Diocese). It helps our outreach centers in all parts of the Diocese. Because of your generosity in the Appeal, the Diocese can supply a priest for a few rural parishes and missions who cannot afford a priest through their regular offertory. These are some of the areas which are supported by this Appeal.

Thank you to all who have already given to the Appeal! Your generosity glorifies Almighty God! If you have not yet, given, I encourage you to do so. Our parish goal is $108,000. I have not received a report stating where we are, but I am confident that we will make and surpass our goal again this year because of your generosity. Thank you again for your gift.

May the Lord Jesus bless you and your families abundantly this week!
