Rejoice the Lord has conquered death and lives again!
What a gift to celebrate the Sacred Mysteries of our Redemption, the Paschal Mysteries – the Passion, Death, and Resurrection of our Lord – with you and with a full St. James Church! We were unable to gather physically together last year in celebration of this Feast, but this year we came together in joy!
We, the people of St. James the Less, walked with one another through this lent by praying an Our Father, Hail Mary, and Glory be for each other every day of this journey. I pray that your Lent was fruitful and that you have been drawn closer to God through your Lenten practices and exercises. The season of Lent is 40 days. Now we embark on a journey of Easter joy, life, and celebration for 50 days!
Holy Mother Church gives us these next 50 days to bask in the glory of the resurrection, to rejoice in life, and relish the joy of the gift of heaven opened for us! I would like to encourage each of you to continue your prayers for your brothers and sisters here at St. James. Pray that the joy, hope and life of Easter may reign in each of our hearts! May the people of St. James reveal to all whom we meet the Joy, Hope, and Life of the Resurrection!
May the Risen Lord Jesus abundantly pour out His blessings upon each of you and your families this 50 day Easter Season!
