This weekend, we welcome, Fr. Thomas Pulikeel, a Pallottine Father. He and his brothers are missionaries bringing the Gospel and the Father’s love to people all over the world through different endeavors. We are given a chance to participate in their mission throughout the world. Each of us are called to be missionaries and spread the Good News of Christ to others. Some are called to do this in foreign lands while most of us do it here at home. The missionary heart is essential to every Christian disciple. The Mission Appeal gives us a chance to participate in those foreign missionary endeavors and assist those who need the Gospel and other basic needs. Please be generous in this second collection.
Jesus gives us the parable of Lazarus the beggar and the rich man. We must care for our brothers and sisters in need, especially Lazarus at our doorstep. Fr. Thomas is bringing those brothers and sisters to our door. What an opportunity to live the Gospel we hear this weekend!
