Rite of Welcome

This Sunday, we announce to the parish and publicly that people will be preparing for Baptism, Confirmation, and reception into full communion with the Catholic Church! What a wonderful and beautiful thing to witness! These men and women, each with their own reason and history, come to the church requesting the Sacraments of Initiation and to be brought into the fullness of communion with the Church. This is an exciting time for them and their families as they experience an outpouring of the Lord’s grace in their lives! Please pray for them as they continue their preparation to enter the Church at Easter!

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!
On behalf of the priests, sisters, and all the staff of St. James Church and School, I wish you a very Happy Thanksgiving this week! Enjoy time with your family and friends! Most especially, look around and be grateful for all that the Lord God has given you and how He cares for you. At home with the family, we put up a poster and throughout Thanksgiving Day, we write things for which we are thankful. I will definitely write St. James Parish! My heart is so filled with gratitude that the Lord Jesus has me here with you at this time in my life and in the life of our parish! He is doing wonderful things in the lives of parishioners, in the life of our parish, in my own life! It is an exciting time to be a part of what God is doing here at St. James! I am so very grateful for you!

So that we can all enjoy Thanksgiving Day, the school will be closed this week and the church office will be closed Wednesday afternoon through Friday. We will resume normal hours on Monday, November 27th.

I wish each of you and your families a Happy Thanksgiving! Safe travels to those going out of town! May you and your families know the abundant love of God this week!
