The Sacrament of Confirmation

Congratulations to our young men and women who received the Sacrament of Confirmation on Wednesday! What a joyful evening it was! The Holy Spirit came down in abundance! Thank you all for your prayers for them. May the Holy Spirit lead them into who He wants them to be as disciples of Jesus Christ!

PARISH MISSION
Our St. James Parish Mission will be March 18 – 20th. The theme is Eucharist: Real Presence, Gift of God and we will have three Redemptorist priests leading us through the Mission. What a blessing for us as a parish community to take a few days and reflect on the beauty of the Eucharist and the amazing gift we receive from our Lord – His Body and Blood, Soul and Divinity! I hope to see you there each night or at least one night of the Mission! Bring a friend too!

HAPPY ST. PATRICK’S DAY
As we begin the week leading up to the 200th St. Patrick’s Day Parade on Saturday and the celebration of the Feast Day of St. Patrick on March 17th, I wish all of you a very Happy St. Patrick’s Day and a blessed time with family and friends. This day in Savannah is a beautiful time where we gather together and celebrate our faith, our family, and our community. Enjoy these days!

ANNUAL CATHOLIC APPEAL
Thank you to all who have contributed to the 2024 Annual Catholic Appeal! I invite all those who have not yet made a gift to participate in the building up of the Kingdom of God in our Diocese by being the Presence of Jesus to those throughout our Diocese of Savannah! In the first progress report of the Appeal, we have given and pledged $109,000 of our $134,000 goal! This makes me proud! Keep it up and let’s surpass that goal soon!

May the Lord Jesus bless you and your families abundantly this week!
