Catholic Schools Week

What a week it has been celebrating St. James School and Catholic Schools in general! Thank you to all who make our School what it is – our Sisters, teachers, staff, students, and families! Each of you contribute to the greatness of St. James School! It is the responsibility of all of us to help St. James School continue the wonderful legacy of excellence and foster the growth and care for the future of the School! Thank you for all you do to give our children and families a place of excellent education and, most importantly, a place where they encounter Jesus and deepen their faith!

Bless the plans and endeavors of our school, O Lord! St. James, pray for us!

2023 Catholic Woman’s Conference

Saturday, January 28th, St. James hosted our first Woman’s Conference and it was a roaring success! Over 200 women from our parish, Savannah, Augusta, Macon, Jacksonville, Bluffton, and beyond gathered for a day of prayer, fellowship, adoration, and an abundance of grace! The Leadership Team wonderfully prepared and conducted a magnificent day! Thank you so much to all who helped organize the day!

If we continue to have these day long events, we are going to need more comfortable chairs for the gym!

Health Update

Well, we finally have it – a date for my surgery at Emory. February 28th, I will have surgery at Emory in Atlanta to remove the remaining cancer in my abdomen. The surgery will be long and I will stay in the hospital 7-10 days before returning to Savannah to recuperate. Thank you for all your prayers, love, and support! I hope to celebrate the Triduum with you and be up and around the parish at Easter!

The journey has been long, but the end is now very much in sight! Thanks be to God!

May the Lord Jesus grant you and your family many wonderful blessings this week!
