End of the School Year!

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit!

End of the School Year!

The last day of School was Wednesday this past week. We ended with a beautiful mass! I cannot tell you how proud I am of Sr. Joan, the teachers and staff, the children, and the parents of our St. James School!

All throughout the year I have been bragging about how amazing they have performed in the midst of all that this year threw at them! The Covid protocols were implemented meticulously (Sr. Joan became great friends with the folks at the Department of Health!). Everyone adjusted when a class needed to quarantine and go to online learning throughout the year. We opened in August with in person, face to face learning with a few opting for online learning. The teachers and staff worked overtime accommodating the different situations. Through it all, our children learned and advanced in wisdom and knowledge! Thank you, teachers, for being exemplary in the performance of your teaching craft! Thank you, students, for pressing through in adherence with all your parents and teachers put forward for precautions while learning. Thank you, parents, for adjusting and working with the school to continue the formation and education of your children in the best possible way. For everyone, this year tested and stretched everyone. Thank you for another amazing year at St. James School! See you over the summer!

The Chosen and Cheesesteaks

Don’t forget – “The Chosen and Cheesesteaks” will begin on June 6th, Sunday afternoon after the 4pm Holy Hour and Vespers, at 5:00 PM and end at 7:00 PM. We will begin in the Conference Room, but hopefully need to move to the Parish Center/Gym! We will eat Cheesesteaks and watch an Episode of “The Chosen” followed by a discussion. I encourage each of you to join us and bring a friend!

Blessed Memorial Day

This weekend, we remember all those who gave the ultimate sacrifice of laying down their lives for the liberties and freedoms that we enjoy in our country. We remember and thank them and their families for this ultimate contribution. As we remember, we must also pledge to do what we can to ensure for our generation and for the future those noble principles and freedoms upon which our country was founded. God bless the United States of America and grant eternal rest to those who have fallen in defense of her!

Lumen Christi Adoration Chapel

Our Lumen Christi Adoration Chapel will reopen on June 7th! Will you sign up to spend one hour with our Lord?

May the Lord bless each of you and your families!
